This week social media are jam-packed with posts about the national ‘Week Without Meat’ initiative. Ipsos has mapped out how extensive this buzz is precisely.

The national ‘Week Without Meat’ is an initiative designed to break through the daily pattern of serving meat or fish.  A little over 5,870 posts appeared on social media. The number of messages about vegetarians and vegans even rose by 545% early this week. A social media hype of this type obviously offers opportunities for brands. We see them being present in online chats around this popular theme, and thereby reaching many potential customers.
