Mike Clemence
Mike Clemence, Associate Director, Trends & Futures, UK
Mike has worked at Ipsos since 2011 and is based in our Trends & Foresight team. His focus is on social trends, generational analysis, and polling on public values and trust. Specialising in trends and issues-based research, he manages the Issues Index, Ipsos’s longest-running tracker poll, which has asked about the issues that Britons care about most for fifty years, since 1974. He is involved in the Ipsos Global Trends research programme, a unique global study that covers social and marketing trends across 50 countries worldwide.
Mike is also a part of the core Ipsos political research team, specialising in exit polling, managing Ipsos’ contribution to highly accurate exit polls at UK general elections since 2015.
He writes frequently about Ipsos’ research, and is the author of recent publications including Signs of Success, Ipsos Global Trends and Generation Z - Do they exist and what influences them? He is a confident presenter of Ipsos’ insight and is speechwriter to both UK and Global Ipsos CEOs.
