Concern about economy remains high, but just 14% worry about unemployment
The economy again tops Ipsos's monthly Issues Index, with just under three fifths of British adults (58%) saying it is one of the most important issues facing Britain, an increase of 3 points from last month.

Ipsos Political Monitor October 2008
Ipsos's October Political Monitor shows that despite media speculation about a "bailout bounce", the Conservatives remain firmly in the lead with more than four in ten voters choosing them (45%), while Labour trails on 30%.

A House Divided?
As the House of Lords prepares to vote on legislation to extend the detention limit of terrorist suspects without charge from 28 to 42 days, Ipsos's most recent study of MPs reveals that views in the House of Commons are somewhat split, both on the likely impact of the legislation and on whether the Parliament Act should be used to force the legislation through.

Confidence Restored in Transatlantic Relationship - Ipsos Survey for Atlantic Partnership
The relationship between Britain and America now is strong, according to an Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for the Atlantic Partnership. Seven British adults in 10 say that it is either "very" (15%) or "fairly" (55%) strong while just 16% say it is not. Only two people in 100 say that the "special relationship" is not at all strong.

Concern about economy at all time high.
The economy has once again risen to the top of Ipsos's Issues Index in September 2008, with over half of British adults (55%) saying it is one of the most important issues facing Britain, an increase of 14 points from last month. This is the highest score we have ever recorded for this issue (our trends date back to 1974). In addition, concern about unemployment is at the highest it has been since November 2001: it is at 11%, an increase of four points from last month.

Ipsos Political Monitor September 2008
Ipsos's September Political Monitor shows the Conservative party on 52% and the Labour party on 24% among those saying they are "absolutely certain to vote", a Conservative lead of 28 points. This is both the highest Conservative lead ever recorded by Ipsos, and also the largest Conservative share we have ever recorded.

British Business People as affluent as ever despite credit crunch
More British business people are earning six figure salaries despite the credit crunch and fears of a recession. The Ipsos British Business Survey (BBS) found that 14% of the business people surveyed now earn more than 163100,000, an increase from 9% in 2005.
