More people think that the Government and the Mayor of London are doing a good job at preparing for the Games (45%) than think they are doing a bad job (37%).

However, Londoners tend to disagree that the team responsible for winning the bid for London were open and honest about how much the games would cost (48%) and almost four in five (79%) think the actual cost of the games will be more than the 38p per week estimated by the Mayor.

Nevertheless, the majority (62%) think that the cost increase will make no difference to their support for London hosting the Games, despite the finding that two thirds (65%) think that London taxpayers will mainly pay for any additional costs.
