Women Look Set to Embrace ISAs
ISAs look set to become women's second most popular savings vehicle over the coming months, according to the Newton Investment Index. For the first time, Newton Fund Managers Limited looked deeper into the savings intentions of women whilst analysing research for the Investment Index. The Newton Investment Index tracks the savings intentions of adults in Great Britain using research conducted by MORI Financial Services.

The Summer Holiday: At Home; Going Away
The Nestleacute; Family Monitor is a series of research studies into family life in Britain undertaken on behalf of Nestleacute; by MORI. It is designed to examine attitudes to and perceptions of family life and how families in a Britain function approaching the millennium. Each wave of research addresses a core set of issues as well as a number of topical subjects. This summer, the monitor focused on the school summer holiday; at home and going away. Selected highlights from this summer holiday study are described below.

Holidaymakers - Don't Forget Your Credit Card!
According to a recent MORI survey, British holidaymakers going away for the start of the summer holidays won't leave home without their credit cards. Over a third (35%) said that the credit card was the most important item to take on holiday. Over half (58%) cited their credit card as one of the three most important items.

Travel Insurance
In a recent MORI survey, 86% of the holidaymakers asked said that they bought their travel insurance from a travel agent and 14% from a tour operator. The main reasons for doing this were that it was easy to arrange everything at once (40%) and that the insurance was included as part of the holiday package (30%).

Your Doctor Has Got You Covered
The Doctor Patient Partnership Your Doctor Has Got You Covered campaign was launched today (Tuesday, 24 March 1998) by Alan Milburn, Minister of State for Health; Claire Rayner, Chair, Patients Association and Dr Simon Fradd, Chairman, Doctor Patient Partnership. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about changes in the delivery of emergency medical services when the doctor's surgery is closed?known as 'out of hours' care?and to encourage the public to use these services responsibly, especially during the upcoming Easter and May bank holidays.

Pension Plans Survey - Direct Line
A recent MORI survey shows that 92% think that there will come a time when the state pension does not provide for people, with a private pension being required to make ends meet.

MFS Windfall Survey
MORI Financial Services conducted a survey on the response of consumers to special payouts ("windfalls") this year as a result of demutualisation activity in the building society and insurance sectors. The Bank of England participated in this survey. Among the other institutions participating were Barclays Bank PLC.
