New York, NY - Ipsos, the global research firm, has been cited as the fastest growing market research company in the U.S. in the latest issue of the influential newsletter, Inside Research. The company's U.S. revenues grew by 406% between 1996 and 2001, the newsletter reported, compared with the industry average of 66%. Ipsos now ranks 12th among the top 50 U.S. market research firms.

The company's North American acquisitions include ASI Market Research Inc., (now Ipsos-ASI, The Advertising Research Company) in 1998; the Angus Reid Group (now Ipsos-Reid) and Tandemar Research Inc. (now part of Ipsos-ASI) in 2000; the Market Research division of The NPD Group (now Ipsos-NPD) and Riehle Research (now Ipsos Public Affairs) in 2001; and ACNielsen Vantis (now Ipsos-Vantis) this year.
