Attitudes of British Jewish people towards Israel
Ipsos was commissioned to conduct a survey about the attitudes of British Jewish people towards Israel. The research was commissioned by a team of academics led by City University London and funded by Yachad. The data collection was undertaken by Ipsos and the questionnaire was designed jointly by the academic team and its advisory panel and Ipsos.
The survey utilised a self-completion questionnaire which was completed either by post or online. In total 1,131 responses were received between March and July 2015.
The sampling strategy for the survey comprised three different elements: (i) random sampling of individuals on the open electoral register with distinctive Jewish surnames; (ii) exhaustive sampling of Jewish members of an online panel maintained by Ipsos; and (iii) a structured approach to online snowball sampling.
