Ipsos conducted a survey for NHS East of England exploring attitudes to talking about death and dying.
Research by Ipsos, on behalf of NHS East of England, exploring attitudes to talking about death and dying has recently been published. The research involved both qualitative and quantitative stages and explored:
- People’s view towards discussing death;
- Awareness of the plans which one can make for their end of life care;
- Whether people make plans for death and dying and their end of life care;
- If there are any barriers preventing them from making these plans; and
- The roles of healthcare professionals in encouraging people to plan for their end of life care.
The findings are being used to inform the content of social marketing interventions to increase awareness of the plans one can make for their end of life care and encourage people to take action.
