New polling data from Ipsos in the UK, conducted 28–31 August 2026 among British adults aged 16-75, in partnership with the Press Association, reveals sustained public backing for assisted dying as MP Lauren Edwards re-introduces identical legislation to Parliament ahead of its second reading on 11 September 2026. However the exact circumstances can make a difference to that support.
