Gordon Brown has a clear lead over John Reid as being seen as the most capable Prime Minister and in understanding Britain's problems according to the latest Ipsos poll for The Sun.
Thirty six per cent of the public think Gordon Brown would make the most capable Prime Minister -- a 14 percentage point lead over his Cabinet colleague John Reid (on 22%). Among Labour supporters, Brown's lead increases to 44 points, with 59% of party supporters backing the Chancellor compared to 15% for the Home Secretary.
