British Fathers Are Dreaming Of The Big Win
The most coveted Fathers' Day gift for British dads is a big win on The National Lottery draw on June 17 - the day before their special day.

A new survey reveals today that if they could have anything in the world, over 70% of British fathers would choose to win the multi-million pound jackpot.
Fathers put their families first, as over half of those questioned would make a new house their first dream purchase. With Fathers' Day on June 18, it's the perfect date for a serious spot of house hunting around Britain's "millionaires rows".
The findings come from a survey of 836 men, conducted by MORI on behalf of Camelot Group Plc, operator of The National Lottery.
Not all fathers daydream about winning a small fortune and settling down though. Instead of hitting the Lottery jackpot, 50% of the men questioned would prefer to pack their family size suitcases and travel the world.
For three out of ten fathers, it's not the money and travel that appeals, it's the thought of sitting back and relaxing by retiring from work, presenting the opportunity to spend more time with their families.
With Euro 2000 so prominent, it isn't much of a surprise to find fathers turning their thoughts to football. What is slightly more surprising, is that more fathers dream about stepping out onto the pitch for Kevin Keegan (22%), than they do about stepping out for the night with a gorgeous supermodel like Elle Macpherson (8%).
Dianne Thompson, Chief Executive Designate for Camelot, comments:
"This survey confirms that fathers have big dreams for their winnings. It will be interesting to see if any fathers are celebrating a big win on Fathers' Day."
