Caitlin Moran and Julia Gillard: An International Women's Day conversation
Join Ipsos in the UK and the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership (GIWL) – part of King's Business School – for a special International Women’s Day 2026 conversation with Caitlin Moran, one of the UK’s most influential writers and cultural commentators.
In this wide-ranging discussion, Moran will reflect on her career and public voice, and explore themes from her latest book What About Men?, including how feminism is evolving in the mid-2020s and why changing ideas about men and masculinity are crucial to the next phase of gender equality. The conversation will examine what equality looks like for the next generation, how expectations placed on men shape women’s lives, and the ways culture, media, and politics reinforce – or challenge – traditional gender roles.
Joining the event will be Kelly Beaver MBE, Chief Executive of Ipsos in the UK and Ireland, who will present findings from our annual international survey spanning 30 countries. The research explores public perceptions of what it means to be “more of a man” or “less of a man” – and how these ideas intersect with expectations of women, gender roles, and power in society.
Together, the speakers will offer a timely and engaging look at where we are now on women’s rights, and what still needs to change.
