Ipsos was commissioned by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and the Department of Health to test new questions on integrated care. Those questions that performed well in testing could be considered for inclusion in the Personal Social Services Adult Social Care Survey of users of adult social care services and the Personal Social Services Survey of Adult Carers of carers of users of adult social care services, conducted by local authorities in England.

Ipsos conducted 20 face-to-face cognitive interviews from 8th-20th August, with carers and service users to test these new questions, check that they were easy to understand, and explore whether they were understood as intended. Ten interviews were conducted with each of the two audiences. The findings and recommendations from these interviews are included in the final published report.
