Technical Note

EIRIS’s findings are based in part on research carried out on Ipsos’s online omnibus, which was conducted in October 2013.

A sample of 2015 British adults between 16 and 75 years responded to the online survey, across England, Scotland and Wales. Fieldwork was conducted using an online method, and took place between 5 and 6 October 2013. Data has been weighted to known population figures for Great Britain. 28% of those surveyed had a final or average salary scheme. 21% of those surveyed had a defined contribution scheme. 18% of those surveyed had a private pension set up independently from their employer.
