Law Society Survey of Members 2012

The Law Society of Scotland commissioned Ipsos Scotland to conduct a telephone survey among its members

The Law Society of Scotland commissioned Ipsos Scotland to conduct a telephone survey among its members, which was a repeat of the 2011 survey, also conducted by Ipsos Scotland. The survey explored members’ perceptions of the Society, the services it provides and its priorities for the future. Interviews were conducted among a range of solicitors according to: their position, including trainees and senior partners; the type of firm, including high street firms, in-house and big firms; and location, including urban and rural areas. Respondents included owners of high-street solicitor firms as well as partners and senior partners in large private firms.

The results of the survey will inform the Society’s strategic planning and future service development.

The report can be accessed from the Law Society of Scotland's website
