More Britons considering voting Reform UK since the General Election

The top reasons public give for considering Reform are immigration and a desire for change. Those considering Labour do so because the party best represents their values and because the NHS is an important issue to them.

Ipsos UK has published its latest Political Pulse survey, exploring which parties the public would consider voting for and the issues driving this. A representative sample of 2,248 British adults were interviewed online between February 7th and 11th 2025.

Who would the public consider voting for?

  • 36% of respondents say they are very or fairly likely to consider voting for Reform UK. This marks a 6% rise since July 2024, suggesting a growing appeal among the electorate.
  • The Labour Party has experienced a significant decline. 31% of Britons say they will consider voting for the party, a dramatic 16 ppt drop since they were elected to government in July 2024. 
  • Three in ten (30%) Britons say they will vote consider voting Conservative at the next election, compared with six in ten (61%) who will not (N/C since July 2024). Reflecting that the parties appeal has changed little since the election.

Voter loyalty

  • Three in four (74%) 2024 Labour voters say that they will consider voting for the party again at the next election, compared with two in ten (21%) who say they will not. 92% of 2024 Conservative voters say they will not consider voting Labour, compared with 6% who say they will. 
  • 87% of Conservative voters say the will consider voting for the party again, compared with 10% who say they will not. 15% of 2024 Labour voters say they will consider voting Conservative, compared to 82% who say they will not.
Who to vote for at the next General Election?
  • 34% of 2024 Labour voters and 13% of Conservative voters say they will consider voting Green. 
  • 38% of 2024 Labour voters and 19% of Conservative voters say they will consider voting Liberal Democrat at the next election.
  • 22% of Labour voters and 44% of Conservative voters say they will consider voting for Reform UK at the next election.

Reasons for considering parties

  • The top reason those considering Reform UK give for considering the party is ‘they are most likely to provide the UK with the change it needs’ (56%).
  • The top reason Labour considerers give is because ‘their values are better aligned with mine than those of the other parties’ (40%).

Key issues 

  • Across the political spectrum, healthcare/the NHS/hospitals (59%), inflation/the cost of living (52%) and immigration (45%) are the top concerns for voters.
  • Conservative and Reform UK voters prioritise immigration, while Labour, Liberal Democrats, and Green voters prioritise the NHS.

Whilst it is still early in the parliament, it is clear that support for Reform UK is has grown since the election. Those considering a vote for Reform prioritise immigration as an issue and feel the party is most likely to offer change.  On the other hand, those considering Labour prioritise the NHS and say the party is more likely than others to share their values.

  • Ipsos interviewed a representative sample of 2,248 adults aged 18+ across Great Britain. Interviews were conducted online between the 7th-11th February 2025.
