The Ageing Well programme is designed to provide sector-led support to assist local authorities in England to meet the challenges associated with an ageing population. The programme is delivered by the Local Government Association (previously Local Government Improvement and Development and before that the IDeA) and is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The programme will be delivered over two and a half years, between October 2009 and March 2012.
