The report summarises findings from three deliberative workshops held in London, Nuneaton and Preston with members of the public earlier this year.

Discussions focused on the role of the NHS in Britain today, what the public expects from NHS services, the balance of responsibility between the individual and the NHS, and people’s views on the idea of a ‘deal’ or ‘compact’ which would clarify what is expected from the individual and the NHS.

The report is part of broader work being carried out by both Ipsos and The King’s Fund in the run up to the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
