Ipsos was commissioned to undertake Public Health England's (PHE) second wave of research with stakeholders, following  the baseline wave conducted in 2013/14. PHE wanted to track movement on working relationships, stakeholder expectations, perceptions of PHE’s priorities, ambitions and focus, and establish areas for improvement.

A quantitative survey was conducted with local authority chief executives and directors of public health, as well as leaders from other professional organisations and sectors. Qualitative depth interviews were also conducted with 16 of PHE’s key stakeholders.

The findings of the research are available on the GOV.uk website.
