Quality of Life - Isle of Man

MORE than nine in 10 people on the Isle of Man are satisfied with the island as a place to live, according to a Quality of Life survey by the MORI Social Research Institute.

In all, 93% say they are satisfied, a rating which compares with the best MORI SRI has ever recorded.

Satisfaction with a number of facilities and services has increased since the last survey on the island in 1990. But some growing concerns also emerged covering crime, some health services and transport to and from the island.

Technical details

MORI carried out 804 face-to-face in-home interviews with a representative sample of adults aged 16 years and over between 18th March and 24th May 2002. Interviewing took place across 69 sampling points geographically spread around the Isle of Man.
