Small Companies And Climate Change
Small companies in the UK have yet to seize the opportunity to make money from tackling climate change, according to new survey from MORI. The research, published in The Shell Springboard Report, asks small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for their views on the business opportunity of products and services which help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Londoners Support Police Terrorist Response
The latest MORI survey for the GLA shows Londoners support the way the police responded to the attacks of July 7th. Three-quarters (77%) say they are satisfied with the way the Met Police responded to the attacks and 15% say they are dissatisfied. The survey also shows that two-thirds (65%) are noticing an increased police presence after the attacks and half (49%) say higher visibility policing makes them feel safer.

Organic Gardening In Britain
Latest research by MORI, on behalf of Garden Organic (previously HDRA), shows that there is huge potential to encourage the use of organic methods among British garden owners. Almost half (48%) of British garden owners still use weed killers in their gardens. In addition, two-fifths do not feed their soil with garden compost which is vital for maintaining its fertility, and another third (32%) do not actively encourage wildlife into their gardens.

Public Attitudes To Participation
Research by MORI Scotland for the Scottish Executive shows out of five types of representative, awareness of local councillors is highest although only about one-third of adults in Scotland say they know either "a lot" or "a fair amount" about the work of their local councillor. Awareness of MEPs' work is lowest: only seven per cent say they know a lot or a fair amount about what they do.
