Ipsos conducted a telephone survey with a representative sample of 1,013 adults in Great Britain to understand the views of the end user of goods and services across a range of sectors, both public and private, and how these vary depending on the sector.

More specifically, the research asked for views about customer service, trust and preferential ways of making contact. The research was commissioned by Vertex - an international Customer Management Outsourcing business (CMO) with clients in the private and public sectors.

The approach was taken to understand better the complexities of communicating with people who are consumers one minute and citizens the next, looking at how expectations change, if at all, as customers interact with different sectors.
