Global Views of Immigration - Turkey Feels Immigration Stress
Virtually all Turks surveyed (97%) feel that immigration has increased over the last 5 years. A large majority (85%) say that immigration has had a negative impact on Turkey. There are a number of commonly voiced concerns with this influx of immigration:
- 86% agree that is makes it more difficult for Turks to get jobs;
- 83% agree that recent immigration is changing Turkey in ways the respondent does not like;
- 81% of respondents agree that it puts additional pressure on Turkish public services;
