Washington, DC, April 5, 2024 — The Ipsos Global Consumer Confidence Election Tracker is a detailed breakdown of consumer sentiment in countries that have elections in 2024. The data comes from Ipsos’ Global Consumer Confidence Index, which is a monthly 29-country survey conducted on Ipsos’ Global Advisor online platform.

The following countries are represented in this report:

  • Belgium
  • India
  • Mexico
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Great Britain
  • United States

This month, India is the only one of the aforementioned countries to show a significant month-over-month gain (of at least 2 points) in its National Index. Great Britain, South Africa, and South Korea all show significant declines, while Mexico and the U.S. remain stable since February.

About the Study

These findings are based on data from a monthly 29-country survey conducted by Ipsos on its Global Advisor online survey platform and, in India, on its IndiaBus platform. They are first reported each month by LSEG as the Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI).

The results are based on interviews with over 21,200 adults aged 18+ in India, 18-74 in Canada, Israel, Malaysia, South Africa, Türkiye, and the United States, 20-74 in Thailand, 21-74 in Indonesia and Singapore, and 16-74 in all other countries.
