Ipsos Healthcare Names New Leader for Evidence Generation, Value and Access Portfolio

Siva Narayanan Takes on Important New Role at Ipsos Healthcare
New York, NY - Ipsos Healthcare continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in healthcare and pharmaceutical research. Senior research expert Siva Narayanan has joined Ipsos Healthcare as a Senior Vice President, charged with leading the company's Evidence Generation, Value and Access portfolio.

"Siva Narayanan is a highly experienced and qualified research professional who has built a loyal client base assessing the market needs and developing the value propositions for many of the world's leading pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations," says Elys Roberts, President of Ipsos Healthcare, North America. "In his new role at Ipsos Healthcare, he will continue on that path by overseeing the generation of clinical and payer evidence to support the development of clinical, economic and humanistic value propositions of products and services in Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device industries. This step is key for our clients achieving optimal market access in today's environment."

Narayanan brings over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, consulting and healthcare provider sectors, and has a successful track record of developing product value propositions through market/customer focus, research excellence, and clinical/brand strategy support. He has built a strong career in HEOR and Market Access within Pharmaceutical industry through tenures at Human Genome Sciences (GSK), Merck & Co., Boehringer-Ingelheim and BMS, covering several therapeutic areas and markets.

On the consulting side, Narayanan was previously Senior Vice President at TNS, leading their Global Treatment Performance Optimization/HEOR Business Unit. Within the healthcare provider sector, he has in-depth experience in the Long Term Care (LTC) segment, through his tenure at Beverly Enterprises (now, Golden Living) covering clinical and strategic evaluations across a spectrum of LTC services.

"This is both a highly competitive and a critical time for healthcare and pharmaceutical companies all around the world," adds Narayanan. "Recent healthcare reforms in various countries have highlighted the need to demonstrate the `value' of products in a highly cost-conscious environment. Understanding the needs of all stakeholders, and especially payers, is key to success, but that is not something easily achieved. Through the extensive and proven resources of Ipsos Healthcare, clients have an unparalleled opportunity to gain the learnings they will need to be successful in this environment and I'm excited to be part of this growing organization."

Siva Narayanan earned an MSc in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde, UK and MHS in Healthcare Policy & Management/Healthcare Finance & Management from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
