Diet vs. the environment: How is climate change altering what we eat?

Two in 5 people say they’ll eat less meat, while a third say they’ll eat fewer dairy products.

Popular actions being taken around the world to combat climate change include recycling, saving water and energy, reducing emissions, and more.

But what about what you eat?

In a global survey of more than 20,000 people across 29 countries, more than two in five people (41%) say they’ll eat less meat or replace it with alternatives like beans in the next year to limit their contribution to climate change.

Another third (35%) say they’ll eat fewer dairy products or replace it with alternatives like soya milk.
