2016 US Elections - Clinton Remains At 43% Though Trump’s Dropped To 37% (October 26)

With less than two weeks to go until election day, the battle for the White House is essentially unchanged with Hillary Clinton leading among likely voters in the mid-single digits. Donald Trump’s high unfavorability ratings make it hard to see his path to victory with the little time remaining.

General Election Trends

Hillary Clinton continues to lead Donald Trump among likely voters with a current lead of 6 percentage points. Clinton remains at 43% though Trump’s numbers dropped slightly to 37%.

  • One-in-five likely voters continue to support alternatives to the major two candidates with many saying they will vote third party (10%), would not vote (3%) or don’t know (7%).
  • Clinton’s lead shrinks amongst likely voters on the 4-way ballot with a smaller 4 percentage point margin, which includes Gary Johnson and Jill Stein (Clinton 42%; Trump 38%; Johnson 7%; and Stein 2%).

Clinton’s favourability dipped to 47% amongst registered voters.

Trump’s favourability scores continue to struggle with his score now at 39%.
