2017 French Election: Macron (61.5%) Still Leads Le Pen (38.5%) (May 5)
En Marche’s Macron is in the lead to become the next President of France according to the latest Ipsos/Sopra Steria poll of likely voters who were aware of the first-round results.
61,5% of those surveyed intend to support Macron, who is well ahead of Le Pen (38,5%).
Vote transfers between the first and the second round are very favorable to Macron: 51% of Mélenchon supporters, 46% of Fillon, supporters, and 76% of Hamon supporters intend to vote for Macron in the second round. And uncertainty is low: 93% of those who say they will vote for Macron declare that their choice is definite.
