Washington, D.C. — President Trump’s approval stands at 43% among all American adults. Among registered voters, 44% approve Trump’s job as President. With tariffs and immigration policy dominating the news cycle, 42% of Americans approve Trump’s handling of immigration, and 41% approve of his handling of international trade.

Democrats continue to lead the generic congressional ballot: 38% of Americans would vote for the Democratic candidate while 32% would vote for the Republican candidate if the elections were held today. The numbers are similar for registered voters, with 42% reporting that they would support a Democrat compared to 36% who would support a Republican.

Among the issues that Americans think are most important, healthcare continues to top the list with 18% of Americans believing that it is the most pressing problem facing the country today. Given the recent news, immigration has jumped to second place, with 12% of Americans believing that is the most important problem. Morality rounds out the top three issues at 11%.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions continues to top the Reuters/Ipsos Wh’Exit poll, which asks Americans who they believe will be the next to quit or be fired from the White House. Press Secretary Sarah Sanders jumped to second place among media reports that she is planning on leaving the White House, with 15% believing that she will be the next to resign or be terminated.
