Taking Responsibility - Building a Professional Training Center in Vila Prudente’s Favela
On November the 23rd, Ipsos attended the inauguration event of the Arca do Crescer’s Professional Training Center, a project supported by Ipsos Foundation that will give teenagers over fifteen the possibility to learn a job and prepare themselves for professional life. Teenagers will receive behavioural trainings as well as technical trainings. By the end of December, a first group of adolescents from Arca do Crescer will graduate in Bakery.
The Association is a Brazilian - French NGO located in the Vila Prudente favela, next to Ipsos Operations office in São Paulo, that provides children with educational, sports and cultural activities and teenagers with professional trainings. Besides Ipsos, the association can count on corporate sponsors such as Accor, Carrefour, BNP Paribas, Decathlon, Hermès, etc.
Ipsos supported Arca do Crescer through a financial contribution from Ipsos Foundation and a public opinion survey realized in the Vila Prudente favela to measure the Social Progress Indicator (social progress on basic human needs, foundations of wellbeing and opportunities).
The financial support from Ipsos helped financing the building of the brand new Professional Training Center situated in the favela.
