Taking Responsibility - The Ipsos Foundation and Rumbo Emprender in Colombia
The Ipsos Foundation is delighted to be able to support Rumbo Emprender in a project transforming students into social entrepreneurs in Colombia.
Colombia has endured a 52 year civil war during which time young people growing up there face great challenges to complete their education, fulfil their potential, find employment and become active citizens.
Rumbo Emprender is a project designed to transform the town of Carepa, Urabá by assisting a group of 150 disadvantaged students to produce socially responsible entrepreneurship projects that are directly linked to the needs of their community (e.g. sustainable farming, use of water, education).
The project develops students giving them the necessary character and leadership skills to enable them to become effective and responsible leaders who can contribute to building peace in Colombia.
