Taking Responsibility - Ipsos Foundation funds Coup de Pouce in France
Coup de Pouce run their ‘Clé’ (French for "key") programme which aims to prevent early school failure among disadvantaged children.
The 'Clé' programme aims at providing children aged 6 -7 years with the support they lack within their family and/or social environment in order to learn how to read and write. In a 'Clé' class a group of five children participate, after school, in sessions lasting 1.5 hours four days per week, and involves the teachers, parents and children.
The Ipsos Foundation will be funding a further twenty clubs, benefiting 100 disadvantaged children (and their parents) in several areas where Ipsos is located – but notably in Paris and Lyon (with one club in each of Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion Island).
The partnership will start in September (with the new school year) and will run for eight months from November.
