Taking Responsibility - The Ipsos Foundation Provides Funding for a ‘Brilliant’ Opportunity
The school is in one of the most deprived areas of the country with many students coming from low income families and more than a third of students not having English as a first language.
The Ipsos Foundation is very pleased to be able to support 48 students from Ark Academy to participate in the Brilliant Club Academic Access Scholars Programme. This programme exists to widen access to highly selective universities for pupils from non-selective state schools. The Brilliant Club places doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in schools to deliver programmes of university-style tutorials thus encouraging students to develop the knowledge, skills and ambition to help them secure places at highly selective universities. The award will fund 48 students who have demonstrated excellent potential but who are currently underperforming.
