Disability Confident Scheme Survey

An Ipsos survey of employers who are members of the Disability Confident scheme

Understanding the effect that signing up to the Disability Confident scheme has had on employers’ recruitment and retention attitudes and practices with regards to disabled people.

Ipsos conducted a telephone survey between 23 August and 26 September 2018 with a sample of 600 Disability Confident employers. The employers that took part in the survey were representative of the wider Disability Confident scheme membership base by size and sector at the time of the survey.

The findings from the research will help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) understand the impact of signing up to the Disability Confident scheme on employers’ recruitment and retention attitudes and practices with regards to disabled people.  It will also help to understand what motivates employers to sign up to the scheme and what support those employers need in order to promote the scheme both within and outside of their organisation.
