Technical details

MORI interviewed a representative sample of 503 British adults aged 16+ and booster surveys of 277 interviews in the county of Devon and 255 interviews in the county of Northamptonshire. Interviews were carried out by telephone throughout Great Britain on 15-16 March 2001.

Data are weighted to the known population profile of Britain for the main survey and to the known population profiles of Devon and Northamptonshire for the booster surveys in these counties.

Where percentages do not add up to exactly 100% this may be due to computer rounding, the exclusion of "don't knows" or to multiple answers. An asterisk (*) indicates a figure below one half of a percent.
