The Police Federation today published its results from an online survey on public perceptions of the police force in England and Wales. The Ipsos poll of 1,828 people, covers confidence in the police force, perceptions of public safety and the ability of the police to do a good job.
Technical note
- Topline results are based on 1,828 responses to the Ipsos iOmnibus.
- Respondents are adults aged 16-75 who have joined the Ipsos Access Panel.
- Fieldwork took place online between 9 - 12 May 2014.
- The survey data were weighted by age, gender, region and social grade, working status and main household shopper to be nationally representative of GB adults aged 16–75.
- Responses are based on all 1,828 adults.
- An * denotes a percentage which is greater than 0 but less than 0.5.
- Where responses do not sum to 100% this is either because the question was multi response or due to percentage rounding.
