The Experience Of Smaller Establishments In Applying For Live Music Authorisation
This is a summary of the findings of a survey conducted by Ipsos on behalf of the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), in association with the Live Music Forum (LMF). The survey looks at the experiences of people (predominantly licensees) involved in making new licence applications under the 2003 Licensing Act (see note), with specific reference to how they have found the transition and whether they applied for a licence to allow the staging of live music.

Corporate Security
IT and network security are the greatest security concerns for members of the CBI, according to new research from MORI. The research, jointly commissioned by CBI and QinetiQ, shows a large majority (97%) of members have either great or some concern about the overall security of their business. Almost three in five (58%) say IT and network security is a great concern, while two in five name 'Provision of standby facilities for business continuity purposes' (41%), 'Risk to brand value of security incidents' (40%) and 'Risk to employees of security incidents' (38%).

Two-thirds of British people find the prospect of a single entertainment system for watching TV, downloading films and music and playing computer games appealing, according to new research from MORI for Packard Bell. The survey shows 64% like the idea of a single entertainment system, and of those three-quarters (75%) agree it would be appropriate for a PC to provide this function.
