If Gordon Brown was leader of the Labour Party, more of the electorate say they would vote Labour in a General Election (the party's share of the vote rising from 40% to 45% among those who say they are certain to vote).

MORI's poll also reveals the issues the public feel are most important when deciding who to vote for, which party is seen as best placed to deal with the public's priorities, attitudes towards the Labour party and trade unions, and expectations on public services and the economy.
