An Ipsos survey for Interserve investigated public attitudes towards Big Businesses, defined as companies and organisations that employ at least 1,000 people in the United Kingdom.
An Ipsos survey for Interserve investigated public attitudes towards Big Businesses, defined as companies and organisations that employ at least 1,000 people in the United Kingdom.
In the survey of 2,061 online UK adults, respondents were asked about their perceptions of Big Businesses and their behaviour in a number of areas including the environment, training and development.
The survey found that:
- Three quarters (76%) agree that "The big businesses that pollute the most should be penalised through paying increased taxes"
- A third (34%) disagree with the statement "Big businesses have a responsible attitude towards the environment"
- Around 4 in 10 (39%) disagree with the statement "Big businesses provide sufficient opportunities for apprenticeships"

Ipsos surveyed a quota sample of 2,061 adults aged 16+ in the United Kingdom between the 25th August and 8th September 2014. Data have been weighted by age, gender, region, working status, social grade and tenure to the known offline population profile.
