The world of media research in 2012

The latest innovation in Media research enables us to obtain a clear picture of the true behaviour of today's listeners, consumers, readers and others.

Ipsos MediaCT has a long standing commitment to developing new and innovative research techniques in the world of media research. As such, we’ve become the world leader in mobile and passive measurement techniques, described by some as the last frontiers of media research: from neuroscience or eye tracking technology, to installing research apps on mobile phones and PC meters or use of social listening and social media research, we’re always at the forefront of new and exciting innovations.

The generalised use of connected devices such as PCs, laptops, mobiles phones or TVs makes it possible today to follow people’s actions and interactions with greater accuracy. To understand, real time, what people are doing, rather than what they remember having done on a specific platform at a specific time.

So is it goodbye recall? Definitively not but using a combination of measurement techniques, on a number of different platforms, enables us to obtain a more accurate picture of the true behaviour of people; the listeners, the consumers, the readers and others.

Our commitment in developing new tools and approaches was rewarded on several occasions by the media and research industry over the last few years:

  • MRS Awards 2011 – ‘Best Innovation Award’
  • Print and Digital Research Forum 2011 - ‘Most Innovative Prize’
  • Mobile Research Conference 2011 (MRC Awards) – ‘Winner’
  • MRG 2010 Awards - ‘Best Research Team – Research Supplier’
Ipsos MediaCT will continue, in the months and years ahead, to work with leading actors of the fast-moving and rapidly converging worlds of media, content, telecoms and technology to push further and further the boundaries of innovation and help our clients make connections in the digital age.
