Ipsos Appoints Jacob George as Executive Vice President and Leader of U.S. Automotive Quality Practice

George to help Ipsos move forward in changing the game in Automotive Quality Measurement

Detroit, MI — Ipsos, one of the world’s leading research and insights organizations, today announced the appointment of Jacob George as Executive Vice President and Leader of their U.S. Automotive Quality business. The company has named Mr. George to this position, effective immediately, as part of its commitment to leverage its transformative momentum as a professional services firm and its expanded scale to drive continual focus on bringing more information, more quickly, to clients.

Jacob GeorgeIn this role, Mr. George will drive the Quality Measurement and Improvement system that Ipsos has created for the U.S. and global automotive markets. This system, paired with Ipsos’ deep understanding of changing consumer requirements amidst the disruption in the automotive industry, underpins the company’s total dedication to a comprehensive understanding of people, markets, brands, and society; to delivering information and analysis that makes our complex world easier and faster to navigate; and to inspiring our clients to make smarter decisions.

George brings more than three decades of experience to the role, most recently serving as Vice President and General Manager of J.D. Power Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the research and consulting business in the region. Throughout his career, he has worked both on the manufacturer side – with roles at General Motors rotating through manufacturing, engineering and marketing – as well as the agency side in quality measurement and consulting to help manufacturers improve. He has lived in the United States, Germany, China and Japan while creating consumer understanding for clients in all of these countries.

George received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan and holds two patents in advanced manufacturing technologies.
