New York, NY -- Ipsos today announced the appointment of two market research industry veterans to bolster the company's growing Public Affairs practice in the U.S. Thomas A.W. Miller becomes Regional Senior Vice-President and Managing Director, Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S., and Nicolas Boyon is appointed Senior Vice President of Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S. Both will be based in New York City.

In a related announcement, Ipsos said it was opening a new office in Seattle to serve the needs of clients in the Pacific Northwest region. Boyon's experience spans over 20 years managing research throughout the world on attitudes and lifestyles, public opinion, corporate reputation, and brand positioning. He has served the research needs of major corporations, media companies, advertising agencies, public relations firms, non-profit organizations, and the public sector. Prior to joining Ipsos, Boyon spent 12 years with Roper in New York, where he headed an international custom research practice specialized in large strategic global projects. He also spent 10 years with Sofres (now TNS) in Paris.

" Both have a keen sense of understanding and managing issues, and advancing reputations, exactly what our clients are looking for and have come to expect from Ipsos."

Said Miller: "In the 1990s, market research went global; in this new millennium, our understanding of public issues will also go global. That's what Ipsos Public Affairs plans to do, and I especially look forward to working with my new colleagues and clients in the U.S. and around the world."

Added Boyon: "I'm pleased to be joining Ipsos Public Affairs in the U.S. As a researcher, I value the ability to bring my clients a diverse toolbox of capabilities, as well as the international reach of a global research leader."
