Poll on Americans views towards U.S. Airstrikes against Iran
The Chicago Council on Global Affairs/Ipsos Poll explores how Americans feel about recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and future policy options
Washington DC, June 24, 2025 – The Chicago Council on Global Affairs has utilized KnowledgePanel for its premier annual survey on public opinion and U.S. foreign policy since 2002. The collaboration between the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Ipsos has expanded to include regular "flash" polling on key foreign policy issues. These surveys gauge American public opinion on critical global events as they happen.
The most recent joint Chicago Council on Global Affairs/Ipsos "flash" poll was conducted from June 20-25, 2025. The poll focused the recent airstrike exchanges between Israel and Iran as well as potential U.S. military actions against Iran. The U.S. airstrikes against three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21, 2025 occurred while the poll was being conducted.
