Socialogue: The More, The Merrier?

The social media phenomenon: millions of people invite the immediate world to be their friends. Were there acknowledged advanced life forms on Mars, they'd probably get invited, too. But, when you get down to the people who merit the word "close" before the word "friend", 75% of people prefer a few close friends to a large network. This is especially true in North America, where 87% opt for a small circle of friends rather than a large one, while in the APAC countries, it drops to 66%.
