General Election Matchup

Hillary Clinton leads in states equaling 310 votes while Donald Trump leads in states equaling 176 electoral college votes with 52 votes up for grabs.

  • Trump wins across the historically conservative South and Mountain West.
  • Many states remain too close to call including Colorado, North Carolina and South Carolina.

These are findings from an Ipsos poll conducted for Thomson Reuters September 16- October 6, 2016. For the survey, a sample of 29,909 Americans ages 18+ were interviewed online.
