Welcome to the sixth edition of the Ipsos Cost of Living Monitor, a 32-country survey which tracks how people around the world feel about their finances during the polycrisis.

A latest wave of the Ipsos Global Inflation Monitor finds in 26 of 29 countries more people think their country is in recession than think it is not. Almost two-thirds expect inflation will continue to rise over the next year, while one-third expect their disposable income to fall.

This edition of Understanding Society covers a diverse and varied array of topics relating to the cost-of-living crisis, and how the rising costs have been affecting British society. Ipsos researchers consider food insecurity, sustainable living, the housing market, generational divides, and much more.

A key player in the energy sector on an international level that has committed to the goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, EDF presents the findings of an opinion study of groundbreaking scope conducted for the 3rd consecutive year by Ipsos in 30 countries  across five continents, covering two-thirds of the world’s population and featuring the biggest CO2 producers. Every year, EDF publishes an international status report on opinions, knowledge, expectations and levels of engagement in relation to climate change, as matter for reflection and to contribute to the constructive search for solutions for the future.
