New polling data from Ipsos in the UK, conducted 17–22 July 2026 as Andy Burnham was preparing to assume office as Prime Minister, reveals public sentiment towards his incoming premiership and views of his political rivals.
The July 2026 Ipsos Issues Index shows that immigration continues to be seen as the top issue facing Britain, with the economy in second place and the NHS and inflation both third. Fieldwork took place between 1 and 8 July, before the appointment of Andy Burnham as UK Prime Minister.
