Dawn French tops Spice Girls as person to picnic with in a forest - Countryside Commission

A recent MORI survey shows that Dawn French is the most popular choice as someone to picnic with.

Dawn French beat off competition from the Spice Girls, Princess Diana and Liz Hurley. Although dead, William Shakespeare proved a more popular choice than present day entertainers Chris Evans, Ruby Wax and Liam Gallagher, while Tim Henman and Naomi Campbell got only 1% of the vote each.

Going for a walk and having a picnic were the most popular activities whilst visiting a forest / wood. This was followed by a day out with friends / relatives, birdwatching / wildlife watching, camping, playing sports, meditating / thinking / contemplating, horseriding, outdoor arts and talking to trees / plants.
