Glasgow Housing Association - Purpose and Direction

Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) commissioned Ipsos to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to provide an independent assessment of the extent to which the GHA `purpose and direction' strategy matches the aspirations and priorities of tenants.
In 2003, Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) took over the council's housing stock in Glasgow, making it the largest social landlord in Europe. The organisation has been working with local housing organisations to develop a new vision and strategy and, following a report from the new independent housing regulator for Scotland, the GHA is consulting tenants on their priorities. Ipsos160was commissioned to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to provide an independent assessment of the extent to which the GHA `purpose and direction' strategy matches the aspirations and priorities of tenants. Technical details A total of 1,035 interviews were conducted face-to-face with tenants across Glasgow between 3 January and 23 February 2009. The questionnaire was developed following a series of 6 focus groups, conducted with tenants in different locations across Glasgow and with tenants from different Local Housing Organisations (LHOs).
