Ipsos announces the appointment of Paul Szwarc as a Director in its Financial Services team, specialising in loyalty research. Paul Szwarc has re-joined Ipsos following a career in market research which began in 1975 as a market researcher at The Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) Ltd in Manchester. Since then he has worked at Burke Market Research (Canada), American Express Europe, Ipsos RSL, International Masters Publishers Ltd, PSI Global, Network Research and Facts International before joining Ipsos’s loyalty division in March 2013. Paul has specialised in the consumer and business-to-business financial sector, directing projects on customer and employee satisfaction and loyalty. During his career he has conducted research for a large number of companies in the UK, Europe and North America. In 2005 his book Researching Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty was published by Kogan Page in the UK and USA, and reprinted in 2007 when a Russian edition was also published. Paul is also very active in the UK Market Research Society’s professional development programmes and has contributed to a number of training courses, seminars and workshops on behalf of the Society. He has also been a public speaker on market research in the UK, Europe and the USA as well as being a guest lecturer to MBA students at Manchester Business School for the past ten years. In 2010 his exceptional contribution to market research was recognised with his election as a Fellow of the UK Market Research Society.
